Rising head and shoulders above Dubai’s crowded skyline is the tapering tower of Burj Khalifa. To follow your curiosity and ascend the world’s tallest building, look no further than At the Top, a must-visit attraction in the emirate. As you whizz to the observation decks in high-speed lifts, prepare for your jaw to drop as you soak in the 360˚ views of the city and beyond.
Standing at a height of 828 metres – almost double that of the Empire State Building – the Burj Khalifa is an architectural behemoth designed to impress with its sheer size and grandeur. It was completed in 2010 after six years of construction, and the unusual shape is designed to reduce the impact of the wind. The Burj Khalifa is named after the leader of Abu Dhabi, one of Dubai’s neighbouring emirates. Its status as the world’s tallest building makes it a symbol of Dubai’s forward-thinking strategy and architectural innovation.
Up on the observation decks, you’ll have plenty of time to drink in those vistas over the Persian Gulf and take lots of photographs. The decks come equipped with state-of-the-art telescopes that offer close-up views of Dubai’s landmarks. It’s a perfect place to immerse yourself in the panoramic experience, witnessing the city’s vibrant energy and glittering skyline.
