Head to Dover, a historic port with a magnificent 12th-century castle with the famous White Cliffs. Be guided to the ancient city of Canterbury, the former center of Christian worship for almost 1,700 years and at the center of Geoffrey Chaucer's Canterbury Tales. Walk in its cathedral, the setting for the brutal murder of Thomas Beckett in 1170.
Finally, board a ferry boat to reach Greenwich, and take time to take a look at the Cutty Sark, the fastest sailing ship of its time, gently cruising back to the center of London as evening nears.
