What to expect

Board a classic schooner and witness Boston from the water with friends, family, or loved ones by booking this activity. You'll meet the friendly knowledgeable crew and be part of the team. Help point the ship into the wind, hoist the sails then smile and marvel at what you see - all in about an hour and 50 minutes.

After checking in at the green ticket booth, you'll start to feel your excitement. Board the tall boat named Liberty Star and hear how everything is operated by hand. Then, it's time to be part of the crew helping grab the line and haul away by raising the mainsail, foresail, and jib.

Next, observe the experienced captain and crew tend the sails while you enjoy picturesque views of the Boston Harbor. Depending on the direction of the wind, you may cruise toward the outer harbor to get a look at Fort Independence, watch planes taking off or landing right over the masts from Logan International Airport, and view the Boston Harbor Islands. Alternatively, you could possibly head over by East Boston, visit the Charlestown Navy Yard, and a glimpse at the white steeple of the Old North Church in one of Boston's oldest neighborhoods.
