On day one, you'll be picked up at your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City and start your trip to My Tho. Upon arrival, visit Vinh Trang Pagoda, dating back to the late 19th century. Then board a sampan boat and cruise down the river around four beautiful islands known as Dragon, Ky Lan, Phoenix, and Turtle islands. Stop at Ky Lan Island, stroll the village streets to see orchards, enjoy tropical fruits and enjoy Vietnamese folk music performed by locals. Visit the orchard.
Paddle a small canoe through Thoi Son canal and treat yourself to the beauty of the countryside, visit a bee farm and family business, enjoy honey tea and a coconut candy factory. After lunch in a local restaurant, in the afternoon is time to cycle around Tan Thach village and meet local people to experience their daily life. Relax in the hammocks, enjoying the cool breeze for those who do not want to join the cycling trips. Continue to Can Tho City and stay overnight in Can Tho.
On the second day, have breakfast at your hotel. You can take a boat to explore the tributaries of the lower Mekong River (Basac River), then visit Cai Rang floating market, the most vibrant floating market in the area. Enjoy a walking tour of the local noodle factory. Visit Munir Ansay Temple, a Khmer temple, famous for its unique structure. Have lunch and then prepared to come back to Ho Chi Minh City.
