Begin the day with a visit to Bảo Đại's Summer Palace, where the last Vietnamese Emperor Bảo Đại resided in the summertime with his family. He inherited the throne at the age of 13 and ruled the country from 1925 until his abdication to the Việt Minh in 1945. He was the last of the Nguyễn Kings who united the country and built a feudal capital in Hue.
Next, visit the Crazy House, so named for the surreal architecture that makes it resemble something between a Disney Castle and a kid’s adventure playground, but this one’s for grown-ups too! Enjoy the peaceful Domaine de Marie Monastery which is also known as the cherry apricot church. Here visitors will be able to see the architectural scene with a European breath right in the heart of Da Lat.
Enjoy your lunch at a local restaurant, and visit Lam Vien Square, considered the heart of Da Lat. The Square is famous for its natural beauty and its special architecture, such as the giant Wild Sunflower, and colorful glass-based Artichoke Flower Bud with a great view towards Ho Xuan Huong Lake.
