What to expect

Unlock the flavors of Hoi An's Old Town bite by bite after the sun has gone down on this guided tour. Walk through local cafes, food stalls, markets, and restaurants, and taste amazing local treats.

First up – a local bakery that has been making banh mi for over 20 years. Next, you’ll join locals at a small eatery to sample tasty BBQ pork rolled with rice paper and fresh herbs. Served with typical soy dipping sauce, this dish is one of the highlights of the local food scene and an absolute must-eat. The tour continues into the heart of the city, at the central market. Your local guide will walk you through the colorful array of ingredients, filling you in on the most popular dishes in Hoi An. From here, you’ll dig even deeper into the local food scene at locals' favorite restaurant where you’ll sample two of Hoi An’s specialties: deep-fried wonton and white rose dumplings. There’s more food to come! Have a plate of chicken rice but be sure to save enough room for dessert and a local beer. Finish your adventure at a local café near the iconic Japanese covered bridge and sip a Vietnamese coffee or tea.

The Hoi An Centre for Cultural Heritage Management and Preservation requires visitors to purchase an entrance ticket for Hoi An’s Old Quarter (around 6USD/person). You will need to have this entrance ticket before joining the tour and bring it with you on your tour in case local authorities check
