Here, you'll find a prestigious university founded by Napoleon Bonaparte, a church, and the Gualandi Tower - the tragic end for Count Ugolino, a character from Dante's Divine Comedy.

The tour continues through Borgo Stretto, an ancient medieval district leading up to the middle bridge.
