Jewish History Guided Walking Tour of Amsterdam

For almost four centuries Amsterdam’s Jewish community added immeasurably to the city’s cultural and economic life. This tour begins in 1593 with the story of the community’s founding and builds to the present-day. Along the way, the stories cover every type of Jewish Amsterdammer.
This walking tour explores a wide range of neighborhoods in Jewish Amsterdam while at the same time limiting total walking distance. You’ll see the busy heart of the neighborhood, the stately main synagogues, the quiet side street with a hidden synagogue, the mansions of the wealthy, beautiful green parks, and the monuments to those who fought as well as those who died.
