A half day tour that starts from your accommodation and takes you on a guided experience through the southern Daintree rainforest, Mossman Gorge and coastal environment of Kuku Yalanji country.
Accompanied by an Aboriginal guide, you will go for a walk in the rainforest and you will visit a number of culturally significant areas. You will learn about the amazing relationships the Kuku Yalanji still have with their land, about their history, culture and practices.
You will go through the different food and medicine they use that are derived from nature, you will sample some bush tucker and you will collect shellfish. You will also try some traditional Aboriginal hunting practices such as using a boomerang and spear throwing. If you are lucky, you might catch a mud crab! To complete the adventure you will visit a pristine freshwater stream where you can cool off.
