Discover Banana Island and the Nile on this three-hour guided tour whilst experiencing being on a "felucca" traditional wooden boat at sunset. You'll be transferred from your hotel to the "felucca" and your local guide.

As you glide along the Nile passing hotels, houses and monuments, you'll see the sun setting behind the mountains of Luxor and feel your body relax as you continue to Banana Island or "Gezerit El Moze".

Once on the island, you'll taste bananas straight from the tree given to you by the local farmers. You'll also learn about its importance and history from your local guide to complete your experience.

Know in advance: there is a minimum of 2 adults per booking for the shared tour. The local operator will confirm the pick up time 24 hours before the experience starts. Please look out for an email or SMS. The pick up location is your hotel lobby unless otherwise specified. In the case of wind, a motorboat will be used instead of the felucca. The tour duration may change depending on operational circumstances.

Matkusti puolison kanssa

The trip with the sailing boat was very nice and the cup of tea offered was lovely. The guides seemed not very happy to work on a Sunday, what was a bit disappointing although one of them really tried best towards the end to make this a nice experience. The Banana Island itself was not as the name suggests, a nice tropical place to be. It was just a whithered banana plantage extended with some animals kept in very poor circumstances to please the tourists. Not recommended and too expensive..
