What could be more exciting than exploring one National Park Island? How about discovering two? Ons Island and Sálvora Island await!
Your adventure begins on Ons Island, where you'll have ample time to traverse the trails that weave through and around the island. These paths lead you between charming villages, along white-sand beaches and up to a historic lighthouse. As you journey, you'll experience the ecology and centuries of history this island has to offer. Being the only inhabited island in the area, friendly locals will likely greet you along the way. And don’t worry, it's not all about walking. You'll also have access to restaurant facilities where you can relax, soak up the sun and indulge in some tasty food and drink.
When it's time to move on, you'll join other travellers at the island's dock and set sail for Sálvora Island. Upon arrival, a knowledgeable guide will escort you to the island's lighthouse and deserted village. Here, you'll learn about the legends, history, flora and fauna that make Sálvora distinct from other islands within the Maritime-Terrestrial Atlantic Islands National Park. For instance, did you know that there are only two possible trails on Sálvora? If you're lucky, you might even spot a herd of wild horses.
