After checking your equipment and a brief rundown of the day's plan, your adventure begins with an awe-inspiring trek to the very top of Etna.
Using a cable car and a 4x4 bus, you'll ascend to approximately, 2800 metres above sea level. From there, a two-hour walk through lava flows and lunar-like landscapes will take you to the summit craters of Etna. Here, you'll traverse the dramatic rim of the Central Crater, confront the dizzyingly high Northeast Crater, and witness the renowned Southeast Crater - known for its recent and spectacular eruptions. In addition to the vast summit craters, you'll experience a one-of-a-kind volcanic environment, complete with gas emissions, volcanic bombs, and the ground's dazzling colours caused by the sublimation of various elements, including sulphur.
During your descent, you'll visit the Barbagallo craters and traverse a lava flow channel. Finally, with the Etna cable car, you'll return to your starting point at 2500 metres above sea level.
