Get on board the “barchetto”, one of the few four original and traditional wooden boats left in Florence, conducted by a “barcaiolo”, who will guide the boat with his long-reaching pole. Your expert guide will unveil the secrets of the Arno river as you sail on its calm waters, discovering the history and the beautiful palazzos that frame its ancient riverbed. The commentary is informative but very entertaining and may include a few local stories and anecdotes.
You will pass in front of the Uffizi Gallery, beautiful caretaker of artistic treasures, under the unique Ponte Vecchio bridge, and you will also get the chance to learn more about the mysterious Vasari corridor.
