Visit the historic Sant’Abrogio Market, selling food for more than 150 years, walk through Borgo Pinti, and pass the Mercato Centrale.
Your guide will take you on a culinary journey through Florence. You will try some schiacciata, a flatbread covered in salt and oil, or if you’re feeling brave a lampredotto sandwich, boiled cow’s intestine in a herbed green sauce. Of course, a glass of Tuscan red wine is on the menu and some visanto, a dessert wine. For dessert enjoy some Italian coffee with a torta della nonna, a flaky custard tart.
One can not be in Italy without tasting some gelato. Your final tasting will be the uniquely flavored Strega Nocciola to make sure are really full.
