Wander through narrow lanes, squares and medieval palaces under the guidance of an expert tour leader. If chosen, you'll also gain reserved access to the tower. Upon disembarking at Livorno, catch one of the shuttle buses departing from the harbour. Your tour leader, easily identifiable in a green shirt, will meet you at the shuttle bus stop. Once aboard, your exploration of Pisa begins. You'll receive explanations, tips, and useful information to maximise your experience.

The journey starts by crossing the ancient city walls into the religious centre "Piazza dei Miracoli". This UNESCO World Heritage Site is recognised as a significant hub of medieval art globally. The tour continues along Via Santa Maria, an ancient road linking the religious centre with Piazza dei Cavalieri. Here you'll find its Church, the prestigious "la normale" university founded by Napoleon Bonaparte, and the Gualandi Tower. This tower is infamous as the place where Count Ugolino, a character from Dante's Divine Comedy, starved to death.

The visit concludes in the medieval district "Borgo stretto", leading up to the middle bridge. From here, you can savour the splendid view of Lungarni with its historic palaces brimming with stories.

To reach the meeting point you'll need to take the Livorno Porto 2000 shuttle from the cruise terminal to Via Claudio Cogorano (cost of € 7; free for some cruises; about 10 minutes of travel). Upon arrival in the city centre, you'll find the Shore Experience wearing green shirts
This tour will depart promptly and cannot be delayed due to the itinerary and distances, please make sure to be at the meeting point at least 10-15 minutes before the start time. Your tour leader will be at the meeting point approximately 30 minutes before the meeting point, so please do not arrive too early
