Explore the Museum of Culatello and Masalén in the splendid castle complex of the Antica Corte Pallavicina of Polesine, which stands out in a glimpse of the lowlands of Parma dominated by the sound of the Great River where fog is an essential ingredient of taste.

The museum presents one after the other the protagonists of the Culatello saga. The first one is the territory: the environment, the poplar groves, the Po River are the protagonists of a narration that leads to the room focused on the figure of the pig. Domesticated in ancient times, the typical black pig of the Parma area is another focus of the museum, with in-depth studies on its recovery as well as on the symbolism and image of a creature so closely tied to man that it is chosen to evoke his vices and virtues, as can be seen in the rich collection of illustrated postcards but also in books and satire, advertising and stamps.
