For a truly immersive experience into the world of Sumo, consider two distinct options.

The first option (Option 1) is a morning practice tour at a Sumo stable in Tokyo. Here, you'll be accompanied by a dedicated guide who specialises in Sumo. Rather than simply observing the practice and then leaving, your guide will provide insightful commentary in English throughout the session, ensuring you gain a comprehensive understanding of this traditional sport.

Alternatively, foreign visitors to Japan can opt for a more interactive Sumo experience (Option 2). This includes a demonstration by former Sumo wrestlers, offering an authentic glimpse into the sport's techniques and traditions. Following the show, you'll have the opportunity to challenge these ex-wrestlers yourself - a thrilling chance to test your mettle against some of the best. To round off the day, you'll savour an authentic Chanko Nabe lunch, supervised by these same former Sumo wrestlers. This hearty meal is traditionally consumed by Sumo wrestlers and is sure to provide a fitting end to your immersive Sumo experience.

You can choose between the following options available in the order box:

• Option 2: Sumo interactive experience with Sumo show and Chanko lunch

Not allowed:

Personal language during rehearsals is strictly prohibited. Please be respectful to the wrestlers, masters, and everyone involved
Eating and drinking during the show is prohibited
Video shooting is basically prohibited. Photography is accepted, but using flash is strictly prohibited. If you happen to take a flash photo, you will be asked to leave
Please refrain from wearing extremely light clothing (miniskirts, etc.)
For children, parents will be advised of various precautions and must be strictly observed. If you make a loud noise or do not follow the instructions, you may be asked to leave

Know in advance:

Please note that for Option 1, a minimum number of 2 tickets needs to be booked and for Option 2, a minimum number of 4 tickets
This activity is bilingual (English, Japanese)
If you leave the venue midway through, you will not be able to return. Please also note that there will be no refunds in that case
If the practice time is shortened due to the circumstances of the sumo stable or the physical condition of the wrestlers, the tour time may also be shortened. Please note that in that case, there will be no refunds
Please use silent mode on your mobile phone or smartphone
As a measure against coronavirus infections, it is mandatory to take your temperature, check your physical condition, wear a mask, and use alcohol disinfection on the day of the event. Please note that in the unlikely event that you are refused, you will not be able to tour the venue and no refunds will be given
The local operator cannot be held responsible for any troubles, accidents, theft, injuries, etc. within the venue. It will be taken great care to ensure that no injuries occur during the challenge to former sumo wrestlers, but in the unlikely event that an injury occurs, participants will be solely responsible
Participants who do not follow the rules and etiquette, or who engage in behavior that disturbs other participants, may be asked to leave
