If you're looking for a small group tour that combines panoramic views and visits to Cretan villages, the Apokoronas tour is the perfect option. Each vehicle accommodates only 6-8 people, ensuring a personalized experience.

Your day will start with a stop in the village of Vrysses, close to the riverside and under plane trees. From there, you'll continue on to traditional villages like Nipos, Tzitzifes, and Fres, where you can speak with locals, learn about the island's history and traditions, and taste local dishes accompanied by Cretan hospitality. Next, you'll visit the temple of Virgin Mary (Panagia) of Two Rocks, where an impressive church was built on top of a detached rock.

The off-road adventure begins after climbing up the White Mountains, passing through villages of Pemonia, Melidoni which are situated at the foothill of White Mountains. On the way up to the shepherd’s hut called “Mitato” you'll enjoy the panoramic view of Northern Crete and if you're lucky, eagles and wild goats might appear.

The bumpy rocky road will lead you to the trip’s highest point of 1300 meters altitude, where you will find out all about the lifestyle of a shepherd and explore his original "Mitato". On the way down to the villages, you'll have a stop in Armenoi village for lunch with Cretan platters. Fully refreshed you'll continue the tour, following an easy asphalt route back to your hotel.

This is a semi private tour with up to 6 or 8 persons per vehicle
Don't forget your face masks, comfortable shoes, for example trekking shoes or sandals, camera, sun protection, etc. During spring and autumn, it is advised that you bring a jacket
The trip is not recommended for people suffering from car sickness, having mobility or kinetic or back problems, pregnant women, children younger than 7 years old, people taller than 195 cm or heavier than 130 kg
Please note that baby seats can't be provided
Alcohol consumption is not allowed to minors under the age of 18 years old
The local operator reserves the right to make minor changes in the program when considered necessary, for example, in case of unfavorable weather conditions. This can be done without any prior notice
If a tour is canceled due to insufficient number of participants or adverse weather conditions, the local operator will refund 100% of the payment
