On this experience you'll enjoy a unique trek to the summit of Mount Matchincang Geoforest Park with an altitude of 701M above sea level. You'll visit the stunning weathered limestone and ancient sandstone formations, the first land in what is now SE Asia to emerge from the oceans 550 million years ago and have the chance to see the unique flora and fauna of the area.

It is a fairly easy trail and takes about 2 hours to hike to the top. However, it does require a high fitness level. Your guide will share some knowledge on Langkawi's flora and fauna on the way and there is also a chance to see the wildlife that co-habitat this environment such as birds, butterflies, and monkeys.

At the top, you'll be rewarded with a wonderful view of the island from the summit. On the way back to the base of Mount Matchincang, you'll stop at one of the jungle streams for a refreshing swim to sum up this fascinating tour.

Know in advance:

This activity requires an entry permit from the Langkawi Forestry Department. You'll be requested to send a copy of your passport/ ID via WhatsApp at or email upon booking confirmation. You'll find the contact info on your voucher after booking
It is recommended to wear long sleeve shirts, change of clothes, covered shoes or sports shoes, sweater and raincoat, mosquito repellent, bring water and snacks. Also note that the trail is quite steep, there might be fallen trees on the trail and many grasses, so it is strongly recommended to wear long pants
