Enjoy a day trip to Biosphere Reserve Ria Celestun from Merida, the primary site of pink flamingos wintering in the northern hemisphere, as well as being home to over 300 species of birds and a variety of plants, reptiles, and mammals.

Depart early in the morning with hotel pick-up to head to Celestun. Once there, admire a large number of birds while you enjoy a boat ride through the mangroves and, if you wish, you can also swim. You will cross a mangrove area and see the lush vegetation that surrounds you while sailing through red waters. After the boat ride, have a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, offering an array of flavors that showcase the region's culinary delights.
