Enjoy a self-guided audio tour of the Belfast Cemetery.
During your tour, you will learn about the stories of the women who played crucial roles in the history of the city. You will see the grave of Dr. Elizabeth Gould Bell, the first woman to graduate and practice medicine in Ulster and in Belfast.
You will then continue your tour to the Belfast Blitz Memorial Stone, dedicated to the people who lost their lives in the air raids of the Belfast Blitz in 1941.
Afterwards, you will stop at the place where Matilda Gould, an innocent victim of a petrol bombing in the Northern Irish conflict of 1966 was buried. She was the first person injured and the first woman to die as a result of this conflict.
Then, you will reach the grave of Anne Marjorie Robinson, a famous artist who exhibited in London, including the Royal Academy. You will learn about her art and the portrait she made for the royal family.
Your tour will end in front of the grave of Clara Copley, a boxing promoter who fought hard to assert her rights grin a man's world.
