Leave Edinburgh and head towards your first stop of the day, Dunfermline. This town is the former capital of Scotland and the birthplace of famous figures like Charles I and James I. You will see Dunfermline Abbey and Palace, the beautiful Abbey Church and the monks' refectory.

Your journey continues to Stirling Castle, to enjoy the view of the monument and the medieval town of Stirlingshire also known as the gateway to the highlights. Next up is Bannockburn, back in 1314 the battlefield resulting in the de-facto independence for Scotland took place here. Visit the statue of Bruce and his horse before heading to the last stop of the day: Rosslyn Chapel.
