We'll visit iconic theatres such as the Richard Rodgers Theatre, home to Hamilton, the Majestic Theatre, where the longest-running production in Broadway history, The Phantom of the Opera, has been held since 1988, and the Shubert, Theatre, host to the Tony Awards over the years. Next, we'll venture to the Off-Broadway theatres in the Hell's Kitchen neighborhood of Midtown, where shows are developed, rehearsed, and produced before making their public debut. Here, you'll have the opportunity to take a behind-the-scenes tour of a theatre facility and see the process of how a show goes from an idea to being on Broadway. You'll see the costume and set design rooms, learn about the staging process, and you may even hear people in classes and rehearsals singing and dancing. As we continue on the tour, we'll come across the Second Stage Theatre, a company that specialises in developing writer-focused plays and productions. With a history of captivating audiences with engaging characters, the theatre is known for the Tony Award-winning musical ‘Dear Evan Hansen’. After that, we'll take a walk down Theatre Row, where a collection of six theatres serve as a hub for emerging theatre companies, providing everything from rehearsal space to technical support. Finally, we'll stop at Mood Fabrics, made famous on the hit TV show Project Runway, where costume designers come for inspiration and to make crucial decisions for their shows and characters. You'll have the chance to explore the store's vast selection of fabrics, buttons, attachments, and trims. The show must go on, but your tour must come to an end.
